Dee King was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on April 11, 1973, and grew up in Andrews, Texas. He traveled the United States in the professional rodeo circuit as a Steer Roper and Team Roper. In 1993, he moved to Paris, France to work at the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show as a stunt guy and cowboy. It gave him the opportunity to travel throughout Europe, where he met his future German wife, Eva.

Dee returned to the U.S. in 1998 to take over the family business, which was known as The Glass Shop, back in the day. He also worked for a professional tile layer in Dallas (Holmes Custom Homes - Coppell, Texas) to improve his skills and learn to art of designing very unique patterns.

For many years, The Glass Shop was involved in remodeling homes for handicapped people by building ADA-approved roll-in showers and ramps, affording the residents the opportunity to continue living in their homes.

Residential and commercial remodels have always been a specialty for Dee, allowing him to transform homes and offices into new living spaces. He is a very creative artist and enjoys designing new projects. After living most of his life in Andrews, Texas he is very established there and known for his quality work.

In the last 10 years, with the boom in West Texas, the desire for commercial glasswork really increased and became one of the strongest products of Dee King Construction LLC.

From stained-glass church windows to business store-fronts, mirrors in gyms, and custom covid protection in businesses/offices, there really is nothing that he can’t do.

In 2019, he and his wife purchased some land in Millsap, Texas, and plan to relocate there after their son graduates from High School in May of 2022. Dee will continue serving his life-long customers in the Permian Basin but will also be available for jobs in Weatherford and surrounding areas. It’s going to be a big step in a new direction but also a wonderful opportunity to bring his knowledge and expertise to the metroplex.
